Jen Janetsky, Kitsune Defense’s Legal Self-Defense Specialist and Instructor, brings extensive expertise in sex crimes prosecution to her role. With a career dedicated to a victim-centered, trauma-informed approach, Jen has earned national recognition for her efforts. Despite her successes in prosecution, she recognizes the ongoing challenges in preventing sexual assault and domestic violence.

At Kitsune Defense, Jen channels her passion into empowering survivors. Through martial arts and self-defense training, she equips individuals with essential skills, physical strength, and confidence. By fostering these qualities, Jen helps survivors reclaim control over their bodies and lives, supporting them in overcoming trauma. Her commitment at Kitsune Defense reflects her dedication to making a meaningful impact in the lives of violence survivors.
Rhonda Ruterbusch

Rhonda Ruterbusch brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and passion to Kitsune Defense as an Assistant Instructor. A product of the baby boomer era, she has witnessed decades of societal changes, including shifts in violence, crime, and personal safety—strengthening her resolve to empower and protect others, especially women and vulnerable individuals. With over 35 years as a nurse, she has dedicated her life to serving others, providing compassionate care and support. For more than 20 years, she has also been a strong advocate for women’s self-defense, equipping individuals with the skills to protect themselves and reclaim their confidence.

A survivor of abuse in the foster care system, Rhonda deeply understands trauma and resilience, fueling her passion for protecting those who cannot stand up for themselves. Her advocacy extends into her community, where she serves as a representative for both the Election Commission and Planning Commission in Flushing, MI. Her lifelong commitment to service, empowerment, and advocacy makes her an invaluable part of Kitsune Defense, where she continues to inspire and uplift those she teaches.
